Rishi K Narang Rishi K Narang is the Founding Principal of Telesis Capital and manages Telesis’ investment activities. He is a leader in quantitative trading and a veteran in the hedge fund industry. Prior to founding Telesis, Rishi was co-Portfolio Manager and a Managing Director at Santa Barbara Alpha Strategies until 2005. He co-founded Tradeworx, Inc, a quantitative hedge fund manager, in 1999 and acted as its President until his departure in 2002. He began his hedge fund career in 1996 as the Global Investment Strategist for Citibank Alternative Investment. Rishi is the author of Inside the Black Box: The Simple Truth About Quantitative Trading and is a frequent speaker on the topic of quantitative trading at hedge fund conferences, universities and other academic settings. He completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of California at Berkeley.
 
Eric Cressman Eric Cressman is Telesis Capital’s COO and CCO. He is in charge of the operations and regulatory compliance of the firm, and he manages operational due diligence and operational monitoring. He has managed hedge fund and fund of funds operations since 1997, after four years in traditional asset management operations. Eric began his hedge fund career at Farallon / Bracebridge Capital (a fixed income hedge fund) as Operations Manager. He then became the Accounting Manager of SF Sentry, an equity and distressed debt hedge fund. Before joining Telesis Capital, Eric was a Managing Director at Santa Barbara Alpha Strategies, where he ran the back office operations. He has a BA in Economics from Union College.
 
John Cutsinger John Cutsinger brings over 20 years of experience to his role as Head of Technology for Telesis Capital. In addition to managing all aspects of the firm’s technology, he conducts due diligence on the technology of quantitative managers as part of Telesis’ investment team. Prior to joining Telesis, John served the same role at Altegris Investments. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President at Santa Barbara Alpha Strategies and Head of West Coast Operations for UNAPEN. John began his career as Vice President of Technology for STW Fixed Income Management.
 
R. Alexander Burns R. Alexander Burns, CFA, is a Senior Analyst at Telesis Capital, a role he has held since just after Telesis’ launch in 2005. He is primarily responsible for analysis of trading strategies and for monitoring Telesis’ portfolio. Previously, he worked for four years as a Vice President in Portfolio Management at Santa Barbara Alpha Strategies. Alex is a CFA Charterholder and completed his BA in Business Economics at UC Santa Barbara.
 
Julie Wilson Julie Wilson is an Analyst at Telesis Capital. She began her career with Telesis in 2005 as an Associate. Julie’s analysis activities cover due diligence on the people who manage quant trading strategies, operational due diligence and monitoring, and management of the proprietary due diligence process utilized by Telesis Capital. Julie completed her BA in Business Economics at UC Santa Barbara in 2004.
 
Yimin Guo Yimin Guo is an Analyst at Telesis Capital. She conducts quantitative due diligence, strategy due diligence and research activities. Yimin is also actively involved in technology and software development at Telesis. Prior to entering the hedge fund industry, she had eight years of experience as a software developer. She holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School, and she holds a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Buffalo. Yimin is a CFA level 3 candidate.
 
Myong Han Myong Han, CAIA, is an Analyst at Telesis Capital. He is involved in operational due diligence and monitoring, as well as strategy due diligence and research. He also works closely with Eric Cressman in managing the operations of Telesis. Prior to joining Telesis, Myong was an Investment Analyst at Old Mutual Asset Managers’ multi-strategy hedge fund unit in London. Before becoming involved in hedge funds, Myong was a Strategy, Policy and Economics Research Consultant with Jack Faucett and Associates. He has an MBA from London Business School and is a CAIA Charterholder. Myong completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of California at Berkeley.
